Each will have a special perk that wearing them will grant you, making you a more powerful presence on the battlefield. No matter how difficult finding them might be, though, you should always go for them.

TL DR: a lot of exotics need new buffs or reworks in general, some of them just slack in comparison to others. How to obtain Exotic Titan Helmets, Gauntlets, Chest Armor, Boots in Destiny 2?Įxotic Titan armor have to be earned by decrypting engrams, completing raids, grinding Legendary Shards to trade with Xur, or by completing long quest chains.

The only point people make is "They have their own uses! They are two completely different weapons!" People are right when they say that two different exotics have their own utility, But how can you excuse exotics like wish ender and that cabal scout? Even in a season that's packed full of cabal, It's still an extremely poor choice, Exotics are meant to feel unique to other weapons and if you say they aren't meant to break the game, then why do things like Lament, even after nerfs, Still do the highest damage out of any super/exotic in the game? Pop sword abilities on lament and you can EASILY do the damage of 2-4 people with just one sword, Try it in gambit, You can literally kill the primeval in seconds with it.īut how is some of the other guns shaping up? I Know It's comparing primary weapons to a power weapon, but then that brings things in like the fallen line rifle exotic, There's sucky exotics right now and it doesn't really seem like bungie wants to revisit them to give them their own unique edge. Who said they were meant to break things utterly? Look at weapons like wish ender compared to the new exotic bow, Two different weapons but one is just easily a better choice, I think the problem is less that exotics are unappealing, and more that a lot of exotics just don't hold up a candle to other exotics with just how borderline bad they are compared to other exotics in their same slot, There's too many X slot exotics where a different exotic in the same slot (or legendary usually) does It's job just better. Originally posted by Kethriss:Because they’re meant to create unique modifiers to your kit and load out, not break the game utterly. I managed to snag almost every non-raid exotic in just a couple months of checking Xur each week. The only downside is you can't get the raid exotics that way. I think the only truly bad exotic is Oathkeepers.įinally, every week you can visit Xur and get a few new exotics that you don't own. Not all items are good for all purposes either, and bad items are only bad because they don't serve your purposes. Being able to pick the damage type makes it a life-saver in PvE content that locks your equipment too. It has 100 aim assistance, which makes headshotting in PvP a breeze, and it can shoot around corners too. If you can get Hardlight's catalyst, that is also another solid pick that goes unnoticed. In PvP content, it's rather decent right now because of recent buffs to SMGs, though it won't win against shotgun apes usually. It's pretty strong in PvE content if you can get that Arc Charge off. It grants you resistance to Arc damage, and taking Arc damage increases your damage, grants you ammo, and chains lightning to enemies, staggering them when you do. Riskrunner is, in my opinion, one of the most slept on guns in the game. It's a short quest that all characters unlock after completing the New Light storyline. I HIGHLY suggest you go get the Riskrunner exotic. I get the idea that mostly PVP weapons are nerfed. There is one that is fantastically powerful and I am not even mentioning just in case it gets nerfed, but it is not good at PVP. I think that might be the longest sentence I've ever written.

On the other hand, as a new player I imagine the memorial kiosk is a lot more accessible than trying to figure out which weapons are quest drops and which are world drops and then figuring out how to complete 50 different exotic questlines, while also staying on top of the new content, which will only get worse and worse as the game continues to grow and they keep adding more and more exotics to farm for. On the one hand it feels lazy it takes away some of what made each weapon special to me.

I can't decide how I feel about the memorial kiosk. Kiosk was the worst addition in D2 i think and it would be better if the exotics became a part of the world drop pool.

The main issue with Exotics is the way you get them, especially with the Kiosk. Then there's stuff like Anarchy, Lament, Witherhoard which are on a whole another level of borderline broken.
